Senior Wind Power Engineer

IT Power's Wind power team is looking for a senior Wind Power Engineer.  The work will include analysis and project development relating to wind farms in the UK and internationally. The position will involve carrying out the following functions associated with wind farm development:

• wind resource mapping, energy assessments and evaluations
• site selection,
• feasibility studies,
• due diligence work,
• commercial modelling, planning and assessment,
• plant specification and procurement support
• project development and management.

The applicant will preferably have at least 7 years’ professional experience. Experience with carrying out electrical design, grid connection and/or environmental impact assessments, would also be advantageous.

The position requires technical and project management skills as well as the ability to communicate effectively with a range of different professions and clients.  IT Power’s clients include a broad selection of public and private sector organisations.  The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, motivated and have a demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines. 

The post could be based in any of IT Power’s Basingstoke, Bristol or London offices. Renewable Energy Engineer

IT Power is seeking a Senior Engineer to assist the IT Power Team in its sustainable energy work in the UK and abroad.  The position will involve project management on a wide variety of projects including: feasibility assessments, engineering design and technical analysis, as well as programme design, market and resource studies, and policy guidance work on a variety of renewable energy technologies.

Successful candidate will preferably have at least three years’ professional experience, or an MSc in a relevant discipline (preferably engineering graduates but other disciplines will be considered).  Familiarity with renewable energy technologies, project development and the building industry would be advantageous.  The position requires both technical and project management skills as well as the ability to communicate effectively with a range of different professions and clients.  IT Power’s clients include a broad selection of public and private sector organisations.  The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, motivated and have a demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines.

Project Engineer (Marine Renewables)

Since its formation, IT Power has completed over 1000 projects in more than 100 countries around the world.

IT Power's Ocean Energy Group is seeking to appoint project engineers to work on an exciting range of marine renewable energy opportunities. The successful candidate will have experience of renewable energy in a marine environment - offshore wind, tidal or wave-power generation.

The successful candidate will be involved in the mechanical and electrical engineering aspects of projects in ocean energy generation, covering scheme development as well as feasibility and resource studies. He or she will have a track record in ocean energy technical innovation and associated development areas. The position will involve carrying out the following functions associated with technology development:

• mechanical, structural electrical and hydraulic design;
• plant specification and procurement support;
• commercial modelling; and
• resource mapping, energy assessments and evaluations.

The applicant will preferably have either at least 2 years' professional experience, or an MSc in a relevant discipline. Experience with carrying out electrical design, grid connection and/or environmental impact assessments would also be advantageous.

The post can be located at either of IT Power's offices, in Bristol, although the successful applicant must be willing to travel within the UK and abroad. IT Power offers a competitive employment package and a pleasant working environment. The company is an equal opportunities employer. Salaries will be in the range of £23,000 to £28,000 depending on experience.
