The company has practical experience of implementing turnkey projects either as an independent project or as part of a larger building project. As an independent consultancy, IT Power has successfully used tendering processes to substantially reduce costs for its clients.

IT Power is currently managing the following projects:

  • Nukuoro Primary School, FSMIT Power is currently running the project management unit for the Assistance to the Energy Sector in Five ACP Pacific Island States (REP-5) programme, funded under the 9th European Development Fund.  The project started in January 2006, and will run until December 31st 2009. The five countries covered by the programme are the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM), Nauru, Niue, Palau, and the Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI). REP-5 will implement renewable energy and energy efficiency projects in those five countries as a means of helping them reduce their dependency on imported fossil fuels and increasing the availability of electricity services to their outer island communities. The Project Management Unit (PMU) currently has an office in Suva, Fiji with two staff and an office in FSM with one staff.
  • The specification of the systems and tendering is now complete and installation has started.  The projects include on and off-grid PV systems and solar water heating.

Photovoltaic Market Transformation Initiative

  • The project is co-managed with Impax Capital of the UK. The initiative has invested US $25 million of Global Environment Facility (GEF) funds to support private sector, competitively solicited solar PV market development projects. The projects have leveraged co-finance and invested and stimulated the formation of joint ventures, pioneering innovative financing schemes and public-private partnerships. The project focuses upon India, Kenya and Morocco with local partner firms support from IT Power India , Pipal (Kenya) and Resing (Morroco).
