IT Power can carry out energy resource assessments for a region, a development or a single building and can help to prepare energy strategies using these assessments. In the UK we have substantial experience in undertaking resource assessments for solar power, wind power, hydro power, marine currents and other renewable energy resources.
In the context of a project on harnessing the potential of low head hydro in the South East of England, a local energy agency TV Energy commissioned IT Power to produce a short report summarising low-head hydro turbine technologies and costs.
IT Power recently worked with seven boroughs in Leicestershire to carry out a Planning for Climate Change Strategic Study and in 2007 worked with Sheffield City Council to prepare a Renewable Energy Scoping Study.
In 2004 IT Power produced a Sustainable Energy Strategy for the Government of the East Midlands region and provided inputs to the review of their Regional Planning Guidance. We have worked in co-operation with Land Use Consultants to prepare a biomass and renewable strategy for Hinckley and Bosworth Council.
