IT Power has appointed Zhang Dianjun as the new Chief Representative for its China operations.  Despite the global economic downturn there is still, albeit reduced on previous years, growth in China.  IT Power sees the China energy market as a significant growth area and plans to expand the China office to make the most of the opportunities there.  Mr Zhang will join IT Power China on 4th March 2009 to help take the business forward.  Rebecca Gunning will be in the Beijing Office for the first two weeks of March to get him up and running

Dianjun comes to IT Power with over twenty years’ experience in the renewable energy and energy efficiency sector.  His particular expertise includes technical assistance to project sponsors to prepare project proposals and bankable feasibility studies and financing structure design of diversified energy efficiency and district heating projects.  He has recently been working as the Senior Energy Specialist for the IFC China Utility-based Energy Efficiency Finance Programme (CHUEE) and prior to that with the Finnish energy consultancy, Poyry Energy Oy. His previous experience includes work with Ekono Energy and the Beijing District Heating Group.
