Project: The UK is international recognised to be the leading market for the Ocean Energy industry and has amassed valuable operational experience, complemented by extensive scientific research.
As part of the FCO’s “China Prosperity Strategic Programme”, IT Power has been commissioned to establish co-operation between the UK and China on ocean energy.
Our role: IT Power has aided the government in China by disseminating scientific and development experience from the UK ocean energy sector.
A series of reports, workshops and study tours, organised and produced by IT Power have presented on the state marine energy technology and industrial development in the UK and China.
Additionally, an ocean energy roadmap was produced for the Chinese National Energy Administration with targets and commercialisation plans to help accelerate the wave and tidal industry. IT Power has also made policy recommendations to China.
Drawing on lessons from the implementation of UK policies, the project plans to encourage the successful growth of China’s early stage, emergent ocean energy sector.
